re: Immunizations

Prior to the most receint vaccines, my now 4-year-old daughter has never need a stress dose for vacinations. Since her vaccinations were not started until she was close to 8-months (she was adopted from China), we did a lot of catch-up.

When she had her vaccines on her 4-year check-up in Novevember, she spiked a fever (103.5) and was vomitting (I gave her an injection and we still ended up in the ER for fluids). This could have been due to the vaccines (timing was right) or it could have been a bug of some sort since she was still running a high fever the next day (104). Or it could have been a combination.

Based on both of my girls (the other is non-CAH), I would give the Tylenol before you go to the peds office -- it really seems to help.

Best regards,

Janet
