re: Sleep and Cortisol levels

Darlene,

I have a 7 mo old SW daughter that has been a bad sleeper but not the same as yours.  She actually sleeps from about 10:30 pm to 6:00 med & feed time and then goes back to sleep from 6:30 to 9:00.  But there were no naps during the day!  Every time she went to sleep I called it "passing out" because she didn’t fall asleep ever.  She cried until she passed out then thats it. She was like that from the beginning until about a week ago which would be three weeks after we reduced her meds the last time.  Now she takes 2 short naps during the day and doesn’t cry before her bedtime.  She actually started falling asleep!  It almost bothered us because we got so used to the other that we thought something was wrong now!  Her blood pressure had been up and she had been very overuppressed.  It also broke my heart for her to go into such hysterics.  Her head would get all hot and she would just scream to where you thought she would explode she was so red.  I didn’t think there was anything I could do.  I think in our case it was the meds but I couldn’t say for anyone else.

Hope that helps a little.

Rebecca
