re: re: Seizures/multiple family member diagnosis

I spoke to Kenny’s doctors this afternoon and I guess he is listed as a mild salt waster.   They just started him on his Cortef last week and they will retest him in 30 days to see if the Cortef is enough to bring the renin in line.  If he does need florinef he said it would be a small dose.  Looking back I think we have been lucky with Kenny.  I don’t know if it is possible to have a "near adrenal crisis" but we have had several occassions where he has been extremely ill.  When he was 8 months old - one doctor gave him Sodium Chloride for 2 weeks.  When the retested they said he was fine and sent us on our way.  It seems like we have been fighting to find a diagnosis for him since he was 7 days old and I was told he had lost more than 10% of his body weight.  Thanks for all the advice and the other web sites.  I feel like I am at the bottom of a very large mountain with no guide.
