KristinMy son was diagnosed at 3. He had grown 5 inches in 6 months, which we thought was great because he had always been so small and was actually a failure to thrive infant. My concern was that he was starting to get pubic hair. When our Pediatrician checked him, she thought his penis was too large for a 3 year old and was concerned that he had too much muscle definition in his legs. Other signs were his voice was getting deeper and his feet were starting to get really sweaty and smelly.
I would definitely have your daughter tested. If nothing else, it will give you peace of mind. I am currently waiting for the results of having my 1 year old daugher tested. She does not have any signs of abnormal genitlia but our Endo said that not all girls display this. If you find out now, it gives you that much of a head start on treatment. My son’s bone age is already 8 - you can’t get that back.
Good luck.
