Hi Carol.  That is a big reduction in hydrocortisone but your daughters dose was obviously too high and was oversuppressing the adrenal glands by too much - which in her words was ’too good’, although I am not sure I would agree with the terminology!  I know your daughter has a weight problem and this could also be related to the high dose and she may find it easier to lose weight now the reduction has been made.  Corlan pellets are marvelous and in my opinion the best form of medication for children as they come in 2.5mg tablets,  which are tiny and coated, so they don’t taste horrible!  They are made specifically for mouth ulcers, which is why the instructions say they must be left to disolve in the mouth and are not to be swallowed whole or sucked.  This is not necessary for CAH though as our kids are just taking them for the hydrocortisone content so they can just be swallowed with water.  They also come in handy little pots, which fit easily in your handbag and my son has a pot in his pencil case at school - for emergencies.
