re: Good Endo

Well let me stick in my two sense....

Due to my husbands company transfers we have lived in three different states since 2000 and our swcah daughter is only 9 yrs old so hear me when I say....  We have met several different endo’s, urologists, surgeons and pediatricians, and they are not all the same.  Their knowledge and experiences are different as well as their bedside manner.  Some are more professional,  maybe have cleaner offices or better follow up, and when you say jump some even ask how high.

But that is not the most important thing.  We have found that what is most important is the way they are with our daughter.  If they do their job right then our daughter wins.  If they are good with her, manage her medication correctly and listen to us and to her then they work out.

These times will be what she always remembers about being at the dr’s office.  Her memories will be what she experiences in their offices and I refuse to let them be poor ones.

Although we had already been to several endo’s (all over the place) we decided to see "the best" and  now travel from Dallas to NYC to see Dr. Maria New’s staff at Cornell Medical for checkups once a year and Dr. Dix Poppas the Pedo Urology Specialist there does her surgical procedures.   ( She has had to have a lot of work done).

If you think you want a second opinion or want to meet a new endo, go for it.  Make his experience with this the best it can be.  Good luck!
