To Tonya - re: corlan pellet?

Hi Tonya.  The corlan pellet only comes in a 2.5mg dose.  It was specifically manufactured for mouth ulcers but as it contains 2.5mg of hydrocortisone is ideal for CAH children and is now used by the majority of chiuldrens hospitals in the UK.  I do believe it is more expensive than hydrocortisone tablets though, but as we do not pay for childrens medication in the UK - that is of no concern to me! The tablet is smaller than a fludrocortisone one and coated, so it is completely tasteless. I would imagine if there is a celltech pharmaceuticals in the US, it must be available over there too.  Why not write to them and then ask your child’s endocrinolgist whether you could try them?  Although my son is no longer on 2.5mg tablets, he would rather take 4 corlan pellets (his morning dose is 10mg) than 1 hydrocortisone tablet as he says the taste of them is disgusting!
