SandraHi Chris,
I remember talking to you right after Jackson was diagnosed and you were so great in helping me "deal" with it all. I remember you saying that one was it...I’m glad you changed your mind...I love having three boys. They are so much fun. Of course the reason I want to try again is for a girl!
That is funny that you are talking about the CVS because I had heard that their was a test that would be done so that we would know right away if it was a boy or girl, I just didn’t know what it was called. I just "read" about it on this mb the other day. I also am going to get some other tests done for CF (done more routinely now), and fragile x. The CVS will take care of down and any other chormosomal problems.
Actually, yesterday was my first preconception visit with a high risk ob who told me that I was brave to be doing this again after having 3 healthy children at home! I was a little shocked. He did then say that he really shouldn’t say that but then he said it again twice!!! He said the virilization part was what concerned him and that the dex doesn’t always work...blah...blah...(stuff I already knew)....
So, it might be baby time again on the message board because it seems like we have lots of pregnant mommies on here. I say the more the merrier. I am happy you don’t have to take the dex (less stress) and I will keep my fingers crossed that the baby doesn’t have CAH. If he does then...you’ll be prepared!! Either way, it’s a blessing!
Keep us posted,
Sandra
