I have had a huge amount of aesthetics over the years, and I am given 100mg of hydrocortisone IV before the anaesthetic is given.  It is a safe guard, and is given for the added stress of a procedure on your body during surgery. I also as mention by the others take extra cortisone a few days after the procedure depending on what was done. usually triple my does for 48 hours. and then taper off.

Good luck with your procedure.
