Anne-MarieI would also disagree too. The liquid cortef that was wrongly made was mass produced and they stuffed up the ingredients. The type of stuff they make up in your local pharmacy is made differently and many kid’s use the stuff. We never used the mass produced stuff but pharmacy made stuff.
This type of comment above can only serve to worry parents who have newborns on suspension, which if made to exact specifications is only meant to last a week anyway and we are specifically told to keep it refridgerated and yes, like ANY child’s medication your meant to shake it, but only momentarily. The way they make it that is all it needs. There was never any settled contents whatsoever in the stuff that we used infact. However, the mass produced one had a key ingredient that made the major ingredients separate like oil in water I’d magine and they then settled on the bottom of the medicine bottle and were difficult to disperse when shaking later. It would be interesting to note that that particular type of med’s had more than likely many preservatives, flavorings and sugar added also...even when it was NOT being made up with that key ingredient.
