Dear Linda:

Maybe, your daughter has non- classical LOCAH  (Late Onset Congenital Adrenal Hyperplasia) or Classical Simple Virilizing Congenital Adrenal Hyperplasia (SVCAH).

From what I’ve read 75% of people with Classical CAH are salt- wasters and the other 25% are simple virilizers. I’m not sure about the LOCAH but I gather it is much more common then people realize. The CARES FOUNDATION web page might be of interest to you. Also, take a look at the medical sites on this board. Dr. New in New York stands out as the leading endocrinologist in regard to CAH.
