All these years I have depended on my daughter’s endo to tell us when her levels were off and to make the proper adjustments. I have never really asked what the numbers were when the results came back. About 9 months ago her 17 OHP became very elevated (from 400-500 to over 2000). We were not told about it at that time. In fact it was not until the next appt that I learned this when the endo made the comment that she would be anxious to see if the 17 OHP came down, it had been a little elevated. I had to ask for the number! It was still very elevated at the next visit, but we were dealing with other health issues (chronic pain) that we thought may be affecting this and we were trying to deal with the pain to bring the other things in line. Well, thankfully, that pain issue seems to be behind us now. So, my question is, what levels should we be testing for and what should they be? Of course 17 OHP, renin, testosterone, but what else, and what kind of numbers should we be looking for?Kay
