I had it.

 After a week in the hospital on my left side ... trying to buy time...Brayden was born 10 weeks early.  I was getting worse so they induced.

 I’ve been told there is no relation... but I have had my doubts too.  They ( the medical community ) really do NOT know WHY women get preeclampsia. They have lots of theories but no solid answers.
