Hi Dina - My SW-CAH, 10 yr old son has experienced the same thing, starting approx. 1 1/2 - 2 yrs ago! We never gave additional salt supplementation as an infant ( our endo’s didn’t feel it was necessary as long as he was on the florinef) , nor did I salt his food - ever! Matter of fact, he didn’t seem to like it at all and when I would ask him when he got a bit older, he would just shrug his shoulders and say salt was "ok". Then about  1 1/2 - 2 yrs ago, it was like he was really tasting it for the first time and thought it was the greatest thing since sliced bread! At the time, his blood & urine tests we coming in great. But about 4-6 months into this new dietary delight, his PRA shot way up. So, the endo said to let him have free rein with the salt shaker and he, like your daughter, eats it straight from the shaker!! Yuck! He LOVES it! We have made a slight increase in his florinef and let him eat salt whenever and as often as he wants and his PRA dropped back down into more "normal" levels. Keep an eye on her PRA level, perhaps her body is telling her something? Maybe she just really likes salt? Who knows - just thought I would share my story.

Valerie

PS - My son really loves sea salt too! He says it tastes "saltier" than regular - although I believe that the opposite is in fact the truth! Someone gave me some expensive French sea salt as part of a Christmas gift and he keeps eating it all!   :)
