PennyI’m curious to know if anyone on here has had any luck on alternative and complementary therapies. I searched the archives, and found a few old messages, but I’m wondering if there is any new information.
I have LOCAH and am NOT contemplating going off my meds, but my problem with current medicine is this. They treat one thing at a time and don’t seem to look at the side effects of it. I should not have kidney stones (I’m on another pill for that) and I don’t have periods at all unless I’m on birth control. I also have huge problems with food intolerences. The only thing that’s helped is Yoga. I’ve been able to lessen my meds even more with using deep breathing and meditation techniques every day.
I’m contemplating an Ayruvedic diet as well as some other recommendations. (Tongue scraping, sipping water with lemon and ginger, and using a Neti pot).
Anyway, if anyone has found any complementary therapies, I’d appreciate hearing about them. Feel free to email. I mean, there are 6 billion people in the world, surely other countries treat this differently and have a success rate. Chinese and Indian medicine are a whole lot older that Western medicine. (I’m not saying they’re better, but certainly there’s a lot of experience in there.)
