Aimee, I’m on my 3rd endo here in Houston and he has been a godsend.  He finally realized I was being overmedicated on prednisone and florinef, and pretty much cut everything in half  (And everything I eat doesn’t go to my hips now!).  Ran the blood tests, and my levels were normal.  He has encouraged me to lower the dose of my florinef slowly (down to 1/4 of a pill) to see if I can handle it and we schedule regular blood tests.  So don’t worry about that, I take my health seriously.  However, he IS an endo.  He doesn’t look at the food intolerences, the kidney stones (I have a urologist for that), and the irregular periods.  (I had to go to a gyno/endo to have that straightened out when I was 16).

I take 7.5mg of prednisone, I was on 15 because my last Endo didn’t know anything about CAH.  I will investigate the Hydrocortisone option, but I’d really like to treat my WHOLE body and not just the CAH.  Since the endocrine systems controls everything...it seems there would be complementary therapies to the hormone therapy.

Oh, I’m a non-salt waster too.
