paying for meds

Hey,

I was wondering if anybody knows about getting coverage for meds in Ontario, Canada. I am 19 and would like to have a chance move out of home without worrying about paying hundreds of dollars a month to cover for my medications on top of all living expenses. My problem is that my fathers insurance pays for about 80% right now, and until I am 21 and still living at home. As soon as I move out the coverage is gone and  I have to start paying for it from my own pocket. There is no way I can afford this as I have my Hydrocortisone, Florinef and being type 1 diabetic I have my insulin, blood testing stuff and needles. I was hoping someony may be aware of how the Ontario Health Plan works. I depend on all of these meds to live, I can’t imagine having to cut down on meds without doctor recommendation simply because I can’t afford to pay for it. I am open to any help that can offered. I do work, and because I am not full-time I don’t have any benefits. Thank you for any advice you may have.
