aimeeMy biggest concern is proper dosing of the meds and proper patient and parent education about CAH, education about the meds and side effects of the meds. I wasn’t just reffering to genital exams but the whole exam process. It was my experience that they are so caught up in themselves that sometimes the needs of the patient was lost and for me the dosing was a joke and in regard to the genital exam and overall exams , they just noted what was going on, they didn’t help anything. As for those exams, humm it isn’t no picknick having the Endo using you as a display model but that’s just me. When I was younger,I had amazing amounts of hair on my arms, face stomach. All they did was note it and state that was to be expected in the medical notes. I have my medical records to prove my point. The hair eventually went away on its own when I moved out of state and refused to allow another Endo to put me on so much med. Blood tests come back and it’s fine on the lowered dose. I have no hair on my back or stomach and light peach fuzz on my arms and face. There seems like no set course for CAH and that is frustrating. I just wish things were better for CAH in general but medicine isn’t an exact science. I might be a little quirky and flinch when I’m around Endos but I do have empathy for the situation.
