re: Developmental delays

hi kristin

our son is 16months and was diagnosed at 5 months with nonclassical cah(late onset) and is currently on no meds.

as far as his developement, i think that it is fine.  he was walking at 10 months, and has never stopped, he climbs on to everything and gets into everything that he can.  he is not saying as many words as i would like him to, but i have been told either your child is a motor child or a verbal child.  it is pretty obvious to me that we have a child that is great with his motor skills.

from what i know about cah, i would be surprised if the developmental delays were related to the cah.  there have been studies that indicate that children with cah or more intelligent.  because there brains develop faster than an average child.  (at least i think that is what i remember from past readings).

take care
