Susan A.Anne Marie - she probably isn’t a nurse - I had the job of health room clerk for two years at a middle school (grades 6-8) and gave meds to about 50 kids a day - before I got my teaching certificate. We had a nurse in the office two days a week - and at other schools in the district the rest of the time. We did have a lot of training - but definitely not a nurse. Here in Washington State the meds cannot be given any later than 1/2 hour past or before the time the doctor’s order says. Don’t know if it’s that way there or not. I would try to keep the letter to the basics - I think a short and to the point letter would be more to your advantage - and a call to the principal if you are concerned about it happening again. Just trying to help.
