Hi everyone. I posted about this very topic the other day and it never printed so you can imagine how "excited" I was to read about this mood swing issue. Please know that I feel for you as this CAH can literally throw you for a loop.

Our 4 yr old son has SVCAH and is experiencing a horrible mood swing phase lately. He was diagnosed with CAH in September. The mood swings started shortly after that once the Cortef and Florinef came into play. Like someone else mentioned, he will perk right up after some juice and/or a snack. His pre school is now in the process of obtaining an exclusive aide for him as the moods are so erratic. Our endo has increased his Cortef dosage due to our frequent concerns about the moods. Its been 2 weeks on the increased dosage and there is already a world of difference!

I am now wondering if because this is congenital if I possibly actually have CAH. Every single sympton that you all were mentioning is extremely familiar. I have experienced all of them on a fairly regular basis. I wonder. I think I need to get tested as well. We’re taking our kids to the endo on Monday. I’ll see if they can run some tests on me as well.
