I appreciate your point, but I still feel that well children should not have to miss school to visit a doctor in the same town.  I work when my children are in school three morings a week, and I don’t gather sick days and personal days and keep them from year to year.  I get "X" amount and reserve those days for field trips and special events at the kids school.
