I agree entirely with you Gareth. I am pleased to hear that you are encouraging your son to lead a ’normal’ life and are not cautioning him and making him feel disabled. There are all sorts of risks is life, but it is important that he is able to compete with the next kid and is given every opportunity. OK, so he has CAH, but he should not restrict his lifestyle because of it . Exercise is important as you say, and improves muscle tone and bone density (which can become a problem in CAH) but keeping children wrapped in cotton wool, even if their hormone levels are ’spot on’ is far more harmful and it can also affect their mental state.
