My daughter has broken several bones over the years. We have never had to give the injection for that. Instead we immediately stress dosed her orally. We maintained that dosage for 24 hrs and then dropped back to an intermediate dose and then back to her normal dose. I would caution not to try this if the child is vomitting or if they are already showing signs of crisis. In each case we orally medicated it was done as a precaution and we watched her carefully. Because each child is different, and each situation is different, you really need to watch your child carefully and use your best judgement. Don’t be afraid to use the shot if you think it necessary. It is ALWAYS better to err on the side of caution.Kay
