Sean, I sympathise with you when they couldn’t find a vein, this has always happened where my son is concerned and even now as a teenager, his veins tend to clot easy or collapse.  Even the anaesthetist battles and they have had to use veins in his leg and when he was a baby the neck.  I think when children are little and they start to get upset the veins ’disappear’, making each try even more difficult. I wish there was another way!!
