Hi,

I just wanted to say that some chubbiness can be hereditary.  My first child, non-CAH, was 22 pounds at 5 months with the biggest, round pinchable cheeks I’d ever seen.  He was off the growth charts for weight then, but started slimming down when he began to crawl.  He’s not heavy at all now at 2 1/2.  My daughter, who has CAH, looks so much like the photos of him.  My endo takes one look at her and says it’s the medication, but I know she’s prone to "cheekiness."  I want her to take as little medication as possible, but using her cheek-size to determine her dosage is frustrating.

By the way, my daughter is also 16 pounds at 3 months, but so was her non-CAH, unmedicated brother.
