DarleneWelcome Sherry! We have a little boy with SWCAH -he’s 9 months old and was also diagnosed with the genetic screening our state has -we almost lost him in that first week! I understand there are often more "issues" to deal with for the girls, but all of us can sympathize with how you’re feeling. I remember being numb that first month, just saying the name "Congenital Adrenal Hyperplasia" over & over again in my head. As many have said, it really does get better & become part of your routine -except for illnesses when we are extremely cautious. Just try to be prepared for those times and I think that will give you more confidence- and educate yourself as much as possible. We’ve had a couple illnesses this winter & he did really well -just one ER visit with a flu bug. So, once again, welcome -and always feel free to ask questions -the people on this board have really been helpful. There are also some other great organizations out there!
