Did you ask if they had 5 mg tablets of cortef.  That is usually the preferred drug for salt wasting form of CAH... three times a day.... and florinef. And if you think that 10 mg hydrocortone is hard to find - try the 5mg pills.  Some doctors think twice a day is better for people that forget doses.... but I know that cortef is short lasting in the body - I think three times is better.  Highly controversial subject.... again the doctor will argue - that the CAH child makes some cortef (but how about the severe CAH kid).  

Any - my kids are severe salt waster - I vote for the three times a day ... and the 5 mg tablets.
