JanetDThere are only several situations when you need to give your child an injection
- when he/she is unable to take their meds by mouth and have them be absorbed into the system (e.g. vomitting, diaheria)
- broken bones
- unconsiousness
- extremely high fever that won’t go down
I have given my 4-year-old injections twice (though there was a time when I should have) -- all three times she was vomiting and running a fever.
