re: re: re: Do all CAH children get injected regularly?

Those are daily injections, but not everyone needs them. We decided to because our daughter Julia was not diagnosed until she was 5 years old and had precocious puberty aside from the CAH. This caused her to grow prematurely (as if in puberty) at a very early age. Left untreated, her adult growth prediction was only 4’11". Given the size of her parents, she should have been in the 5’6" range. So we joined a study in NYC at Cornell (Dr. New) and have been on growth hormone for 3 years. Julia is almost 11 years old and about 5’5" tall. We are extremely pleased with the results.
