braydensmomThey are VERY subjective. If 5 different doctors read the x-ray... you could have 5 different answers.
I have been told that up to a year of advanced age is not a concern.
For my son our experience was as follows....
Bone age fine til he was 4 years old. Within 3 months it jumped up to a bone age of 5 1/2 years. ( 1 1/2 years more than his age) However the bone age alone while alarming was not enough to change medication. His growth, height and weight maintained the same growth curve and his labs remained good. He maintained the 5 1/2 bone age for more than a year. So he grew into his bone age. Medicine was only adjusted based on his normal increase in weight.. or body mass.
Another bone age check in 3 months might be a good option for you. Always check with the doctor.
