re: Circadian Rhythm dosing (Laura K, Julia etc)

Hi Chris,

Yes, we decreased the total daily dose for both girls when we switched to 3am dosing.  They were under adequate control on the old schedule, so we felt confident reducing for the more efficient schedule.

Did we see changes in appetite right away?  Yes, every time we’ve decreased.  Several years ago, Claire was barely 50th%ile for height and over 90th%ile for weight.  She is now 80th%ile for height and 50th%ile for weight.  Her activity level hasn’t increased; in fact she is less active because her interests are changing.  The difference is her appetite.

We had success with a dose split close to the Mueller recommendation of 33%, 30%, 22%, and 15%.  In your case, that would be 3.75mg/3am, 3.75mg/waking, 2.5mg/lunch, and 1.25mg/dinner.

When we make a change, we retest in a month.  If all is well and no changes are required, we wait three months.

Good luck.  Hope this change brings the results you are looking for.
