Diabetes is much worse, the persons that live with diabetes often have very serious complications, it affects all other organs, can lead to amputations etc...I know several people that have diabetes and children with diabetes and it is much worse, daily monitoring is correct, imagine going through a "blood draw" several times a day, not once every three months. Think about giving your kids daily, even 2-3 daily injections instead of the dreaded emergency injection. As a parent you run the risk of a crisis constantly, not just when the kids are sick. My broth-in-law who is a Dr. said when we found out about the CAH, that CAH is the best of the bad things you can have, at the time I was not so happy with his comment but as time has passed I truly agree with him.
