Actually my daughter is very fair...she even has freckles, but has never burned (well maybe a little on her shoulders). We spend a ton of time at the beach in the summer and Julia spends at least 5 hours a day on her "boogie board" riding the waves. Aside from the first dose of sunscreen when we leave the house, she never reapplies it and never burns. Go figure!!! :)
