I have two questions about taking dexamethasone during pregnancy:

1) Can it have a negatve affect on the mother?  It’s cortisone.  While the baby can use it because his body lacks it the mother’s makes enough.  Her body doesn’t need it.  Too much cortisone is very harmful for anyone.

2) Do baby’s treated with dexamathasone before birth weigh more than they would have without it?
