I believe the major dex manufacturer here in the States is Merck.  They make the "name brand" dex, which is sold under the name "Decadron."  There are also a couple of cos. that produce generics.  One is Alpharma, the other is Morton Grove.  Both of these produce a generic version of a liquid dex.  I am not positive that they produce tablets, but I would guess that they probably do. 

If all else fails, I believe there is a also a co. in the UK that makes a liquid dex.  It is sold under the name "Dexsol" and is made by Rosemont Pharmaceuticals. 

I don’t believe there is currently a shortage here in theStates. My son has been taking dex for over three years and we’ve never had a problem with supply.  Good luck to you.
