Anne-MarieOne being seen as more of a disability over the other because it is easier to give a pill than it is to give a jab? Like the health and the other issues that these kids have to go through do not outweigh things like that. Especially where gorwth and surgery is concerned. Right now, I’d give anything for that pill to be the right dose instead of having to fiddle to dose my child properly all because CAH is rare and manufacturers cannot make the pills smaller as there is not as much call for advancing where med’s for this condition is than there would be for say something like diabetes.
My life is not easy and I refuse to be made to feel it is or that I should be feeling lucky because it is easy when it’s compared to other’s with other disabilities. Any disability is hard on a parent and I am sure we would all rather not have these problems. I want my son to grow up in a world where his treatment and drugs are as up to date as any other. Sometimes I wonder if it will ever happen bcause none of us shout loud enough in the face of it.
