Our endo said we didn’t need to double dose either -however, we chose to on our own & that was with his (our son is 10mos old- SWCAH) 1st set of vaccinations -he did great.  The next set -he ran a fever for 2days where we had to triple meds-but our pediatrician is attributing it to the Prevnar vaccine.  The third set we didn’t double dose before hand & he ran just a little fever (Prevnar once again) -so it just depends on the child.  I would agree in talking w/your endo about his/her recommendation & then do what seems right for your child.  We always give tylenol about 1/2 hour before vaccinations.  Good luck!
