I found the dex really awful.  I had problems with insomnia as well as weight gain and acne but the insomnia is what really did my head in.  I would lie awake nearly every night until 4am and then just be drifting off and the alarm clock would go off.  I would spend the day at work nearly asleep at my desk.  I didn’t think to ask for any sleeping pills as I figured they would be bad for the baby but looking back now I’m sure there must have been something I could take to help me sleep.

I am very reluctant to ever take the dex again and so don’t think I will have any more kids.  I have a boy and a girl (both with SWCAH) and my husband and I are perfectly happy with two happy healthy kids.

Of course not everyone who takes the dex has the same reaction, I’m sure some people might have found it okay, but for me definately never again!!!!
