I was very interested in your views too, so thanks for contibuting to this debate.  All the years of research into diabetes and the breakthroughs we keep hearing about, do not seem to have made life any easier for diabetics.    I know my friend’s daughter (who has both conditions) has had some very scary moments and is actually penalised more (by insurance companies, employers etc) because of the diabetes, as the risks are well known!  She manages reasonably well on a day to day basis though  but like you has no doubts that CAH is by far the preferable condition of the two.  Unless you live with both conditions, it is impossible for anyone else to really comment, so your opinion was very important in this thread.    Best wishes and thanks again!
