Anne-MarieLOL Toni! This is why it is limited to NIH only and is a study. Conventional treatment with cortisol and flourdrocortisone is the only thing these kids need. That is ALL that they are missing and unable to make where their adrenals are concerned. Obviously the Doctor’s in the study have not thought the above have they? Otherwise they would never have risked the treatment with kids. It’s easier to control a child on two drugs than it is to control them on four. Especially when the other two render the child in a worse situation if it isn’t done properly. How can this study have been successful when most of the kids in it haven’t reached full height yet, haven’t reached adulthood without any problems concerning diabetes or other errord of the metabolism etc?
I can assure you that what I have posted above is correct, and not cooked up. Please by all means study for yourself though. I am sure you won’t find anything any different than I have if you study it in depth enough. :)
