Either that or they ARE aware that such symptoms and complications can occur but THINK they are able to avoid them. Obviously not in this child. As you well know---many Doctors disagree on the correct "norm" where ranges for half the hormones they are testing are concerned. So WHO is right? I suppose the Doctor’s at NIH have the edge and know exactly what they are doing? Or is it my Doctor who has the best idea about what elvels to run these kid’s in? maybe it’s someone else’s Doctor in Sweden? They don’t all agree, and that is why, it IS simpler with two drugs as opposed to x4. Especially when one blocks andrgons--LOL! I mean the more I think about that one the dumber it sounds. I don’t for one minute feel you know exactly what the normal reference ranges CAH kids are yourself for half the hormones, and obviously don’t understand insulin resistance. It’s a serious deal and leads to diabetes. In other words more drugs and more problems which need more medications if they allow it to deteriorate as diabetes can. I think Type II can lead to Type I if your not careful, and that’s insulin dependant and then needs injections for life due to the pancreas not functioning properly. So you’ll have to forgive my concern.Anne-Marie
