Thank you Carol for explaining that, I am sure many parents who have their children on this study will feel happier.  I do not believe that such an organisation would do something that would be SO DETRIMENTAL to our children’s health.  They are trying to improve treatment. Any drug if not used correctly can cause problems even paracetamol and many people suffer liver damage from taking too many.  I do also feel, that sometimes we have to put a little faith in the medical profession, after all they do study medicine for many years and some do genuinely care about their patients!  There are some children who hydrocortisone is not the optimal drug to use due to their metabolism.  My son is one of them, so I welcome any research in this field.
