Hi. This is such a sensitive topic to me and I am seriously asking for your help. My 7 year old SSW CAH daughter has been well managed all of her life except for a short period of time during the liquid cortef recall period. Her bone age has always been a bit lower than her chronological age. She wanted me to help her with her bath the other day so I did. As I was drying her off, I noticed a long dark hair by her labia. And a small patch of shorter lighter hair by in the middle of her pubic area. I usually don’t help her with her baths so I have no idea how long this has been there! I called her endo the next morning and he has ordered some blood tests but unless her levels come out wacky, he does not want to see her or do her bone age until our scheduled quarterly appointment in JULY! I insisted that we see him earlier but they do not think it is necessary. I feel like I am in a no win situation, if I start with someone new, it will probably July or later when we can see them. I just have a very bad feeling about this!Tonia
Has anyone’s child gone through precocious puberty when their CAH child has been well managed!? Please, any thoughts on this would be greatly appreciated! Either post on the board or email me privately at TDrake4475@aol.com.
