Hi there, I have some symptoms and I would like to know whether or not they could indicate CAH and if any of you have experienced these symptoms. I was born with a inguinal hernia on my left side that was repaired by surgury at age 2, which may or may not have significance. As a child I was overweight and easily irritated/stressed out. When I was 10, I started getting mild acne that progressed to moderate acne at age 13 and persists up to now. Age 13 was about my worst year. I gained fat weight, got striae (on my shoulders, upper arms, lower back, and some small ones on my side and abdomen), became depressed, developed really dry eyes, dry skin, and breast enlargement (which REALLY sucked). My testicle on the side with the hernia repair retracted upwards and required surgury to be put back in place (it wasn’t growing for a while, but eventually caught back up). Most of these symptoms have since improved slightly, but my fatigue, weakness, and unrefreshing sleep seem to be worsening. I was confused and angry for a while, then I started doing research into the possible causes. I finally ran across CAH. The symptoms particularly caught my eye and that’s how I eventually ended up here. I’m almost 17 years old right now. Are these symptoms indicative of CAH? Have any of you experienced anything similar? What should I ask my doctor to test for to see if I have this disorder? Thanks for your time and help! P.S.
