Thanks!  Yes, that does make sense, though---oddly enough---I’ve never had that happen before with the $2.69 OTC oral syringes!  Maybe I am just lucky.  The writing does wear off after a while, but it takes about a year of everyday use---that is usually when I have to get a new one.  The black rubber tip has never come off, nor the plunger-thing ever stop sliding.....I wonder if the syringes made for oral meds are spefically designed to last longer than the syringes made for giving injections? 

Anyway, for Chris---or anyone, wanting just an oral syringe, w/o a Rx--- this might be another option.   They are inexpensive and easy to find, and the ones I’ve used seem to last and last.
