My now 10yr old SWCAH daughter had a lot of problems with leaking.  The urine would backflow, then later appear blood like and often with odor and scare me to death.  After her surgery (we elected reconstruction at age 2) she continued to leak and we thought for sure we had done the wrong thing.  Later the pelvic pain became unbearable at times and the leaking problems (while not huge but often) were very embarrassing for her (constant panty changing).  Last February at Cornell in NYC she had her second reconstruction mostly to take care of her urethera issues and whola...!  No more leaking or pain!  She is so happy and says she would do it again tomorrow if she had to.  Stay atop of your daughters little-est issues and never think your worrying too much.   You do the best for her you can.  Good Luck!
