We took photos my daughter for their records as well.  We didnt mind this a part of their research and for my daughters well being.  They were being used for future study.  If they see my daughter’s growth over the years and additional photos of our family in its entirety, they can get a better idea of the "look" of my daughter and her siblings or family (after all this is genetic).  For example when she is maybe showing "cushings symptoms" and she hasnt been seen in a long time they can refer back to those photos to see how she looked last time she came in.  We liked the idea.
