Sherry,

As Shannon said, your ped endo should have provided you with the prescription for Solu-Cortef. They also need to teach you how and when to give an injection.  It is very important for you to get this as soon as possible.  Do not let the ped endo office put you off or make you wait.

In the mean time, if you daughter should get sick -- vomiting, diarehia in particular -- you need to get her to the emergency room as soon as possible. I don’t want to scare you to death, but this is very, very important. It could mean the difference in life or death.

Concerning the MedicAlert bracelet -- it is just as important now as it will be when your daughter is in school.  Even if she is always with you, you can never guarantee that you will be able to provide her the emergency care that she might need.

Best regards,

Janet
