You know we wondered the same thing about swimmers itch like you’d get in the lake or a bacteria but are assured there is none.  Our pool is maintained by a reputable service daily (thus high home owners dues, but better safe than sorry).  We have asked around and no one else gets the rash after swimming except a little girl who has some chemical allergies.  We did get the Aveeno cream that someone in this thread mentioned and whola!!! Takes away the itching in seconds.  Now we can still plan our usual swimming activities and deal with the rash with something we know works.  I am as always very pleased with advice given here...
